The Cloud Migration Specialist will design, build, and migrate applications to cloud platforms, ensure business functionality, and automate solutions while collaborating with technical teams and managing customer relations.

A cloud migration specialist will be a part of large migration team for global enterprises across
industries.
- As a key member of the team, ensure success in designing, building and
migrating applications, software, and services on the AWS, Azure/GPC platform.
- Employ customer facing skills to represent Minfy & the CSP well
within the customer’s environment and drive discussions with technical and
business teams.
- Participate in architectural discussions and design exercises to
create large scale solutions built on AWS, Azure/GPC and also be part of the
development lifecycle.
- Will be automating solutions for repeatable problems, developing test plan and testcases to demonstrate application database
readiness post migration.
- Work closely with application teams to ensure business functionality
and ensure SLAs are met.
- Developing innovative solutions to complex business and technology
problems.
Responsibilities
- Infrastructure automation through DevOps scripting (E.g. shell, Python, Ruby, PowerShell, Perl)
- Experience in database programming like PLSQL etc.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.
- Integration of AWS/Azure/GPC cloud services with on-premise technologies from Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, HP,SAP etc.
- Experience with IT compliance and risk management requirements (eg. security, privacy, SOX, HIPAA etc.).
- High end Troubleshooting and Communication skills.
- Extended travel to customer locations may be required to sell and deliver professional services as needed.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in a technical position.
- 3+ years on any Cloud Platform (AWS, Azure, Google etc).
- At least 1 project experience in working in a large migration – 500+ VMs.
- Good experience working in Re-host & Re-platform.
- Good experience working in replication tools, Cloud.
- Endure, Azure Replication Manager is must.
- Strong practical Linux and Windows-based systems.
- Administration skills in a Cloud or Virtualized environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations.
- Implementing experience with primary AWS services like (EC2, ELB, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway Route53 & S3) & Similar services in Azure /GPC.
- Professional Level – Solution Architect certification inAWS/ Azure/GPC is a must.
- Deep hands-on experience leading the design, development and deployment of business software at scale.
- Leading highly-available and fault-tolerant enterprise and web-scale software deployments.
- Experience in performance optimization techniques.
