Barbaricum is seeking a Cloud Migration Engineer to support migrating customer platforms to the AWS Cloud. This role will be hybrid, based out of Fort Meade. This is a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension.
Responsibilities
- Lead the migration of critical customer platforms from on-premises environments to the AWS cloud.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement secure and scalable infrastructure solutions using Terraform and Python.
- Oversee Kubernetes management and ensure optimal performance in multi-account, multi-role cloud environments.
- Implement automated system patching, security updates, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Independently deliver mission outcomes and interact with customers with minimal supervision.
- Provide troubleshooting and resolution for cloud-related technical issues.
Qualifications
- Active DoD Top Secret SCI Clearance
- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure and platform migration to AWS
- Proficiency in Terraform and Python scripting
- Knowledge of Kubernetes management and cloud operating environments
- Familiarity with Gitlab for CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of AWS services and experience developing technical solutions
- AWS Associate Certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months
- Work location split between AWS offices (NBP), customer site, and telework
