The Role
- Act as the senior technical authority for automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and CI/CD practices
- Define, evolve, and enforce enterprise-wide standards and reference architectures for Ansible, Terraform, and DevOps pipelines
- Lead design and technical reviews for complex, high-impact cloud automation solutions
- Drive adoption of best-in-class DevOps practices across multiple engineering teams
- Provide hands-on expertise for complex or business-critical automation challenges
- Collaborate closely with Cloud Architecture, Security, and Governance teams to ensure compliance and risk alignment
- Mentor and guide senior engineers, SMEs, and junior team members
- Evaluate emerging tools and technologies and provide strategic recommendations
- Create and maintain authoritative documentation, frameworks, and reusable patterns
Who You Are
Required Skills:
- Expert-level experience with Ansible Automation in large-scale enterprise environments
- Advanced proficiency in Terraform, including module frameworks, state management, and multi-cloud deployments
- Proven track record implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) at enterprise scale
- Deep understanding of DevOps principles, CI/CD design, and modern delivery models
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure, AWS, and GCP cloud platforms
- Advanced Windows & Linux knowledge with strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to influence technical direction across teams
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of experience in automation, DevOps, cloud, or platform engineering roles
- Experience working in large, complex, or regulated enterprise environments
- Strong knowledge of:
- Containerization and orchestration platforms (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Observability, monitoring, and logging solutions
- Cloud security, identity, and governance models
- Relevant certifications (Terraform, Ansible, Azure, AWS, GCP, DevOps)
- Experience operating within platform engineering teams or Cloud Centers of Excellence (CCoE)
