What You'll do:
Groundswell is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer who will provide necessary services to support software applications developed and maintained by the Department of Transportation. The Cloud Engineer will leverage Agile best practices with a strong attention to customer service throughout this transition and system support.
What You’ll Be Working On:
Ensure servers are secure and up to date by monitoring Nessus scans performed on the servers and resolving web or network vulnerabilities displayed in the logs
Present findings and resolved issues during team standup
Migrate on-prem servers to AWS Cloud
Migrate to IPV6 effort which entails testing in an IPV6 environment
Support Disaster Recovery effort to ensure our data/infrastructure can be recovered is there is any failure
Perform System Administration functions of on-premise Windows servers
Support the transition from on-premise to cloud services
Support security scans and remediations
Support C&A (Certification and Accreditation) processes, tasks and documentation
Provide prompt resolution of critical issues and vulnerability findings
Provide innovative solutions for process improvement and efficiencies
Provide user access/permission management support
Ensure smooth operation of inter-dependent system and related activities
Configure new DevOps pipelines following a provided template
Required Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Management Information Systems or related field;
Master's degree in a related field will be considered equivalent to two (2) years of relevant overall work experience
At least 5 years' of relevant experience
Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance per contract requirements
Experience working in an Agile environment
Experience with Windows, Linux, Jenkins, and cloud technologies
Experience with Jira, Confluence and Bitbucket
Experience with .NET and SharePoint development platforms
Proven expertise in administering multiple tiers architecture and the ability to communicate and troubleshoot issues with external operational administrators for a Cloud based production system
Experience with regular security patching, application administration, software installation, and documentation
Drive to improve existing software implementations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

The salary range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Groundswell, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:
