Project Summary
We are seeking a Mid-Level Cloud Engineer to support the development, migration, and optimization of cloud-based applications and services. This role focuses on designing cloud delivery models—including PaaS, IaaS, SaaS, and DaaS—while implementing DevSecOps-based automation to ensure secure, scalable, and resilient cloud environments. The ideal candidate brings hands-on cloud engineering experience and the ability to work independently on both new development and modernization efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement cloud applications and migrate existing on-premises applications to the cloud.
Analyze applications and provide recommendations for cloud platform selection, migration, deployment, and optimization.
Design strategies for failure/recovery, cost optimization, and evaluating cloud, cloud-agnostic, and on-premises services.
Manage and enforce policies for cloud service usage and new technology requests, ensuring a secure cloud environment.
Ensure appropriate uptime and availability design for cloud-hosted services.
Independently design and develop new cloud software solutions or major enhancements to existing applications.
Debug cloud stacks, troubleshoot issues, and manage cloud infrastructure.
Required For This Opportunity
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of cloud engineering or cloud development experience.
Strong understanding of cloud platforms, services, and cloud service delivery models (PaaS, IaaS, SaaS, DaaS).
Proficiency with DevSecOps practices and automation tools (GitLab preferred).
Experience with container orchestration and associated security practices.
Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to work independently.
Experience developing migration plans, deployment strategies, and optimization recommendations for cloud applications.

Experience designing cloud failure/recovery and resiliency strategies.
Background managing cloud policies and secure cloud operating environments.
Experience supporting hybrid or multi-cloud environments.
