Job Summary:The cloud engineer I provides level 2 support and trouble-shooting for cloud platforms. They will handle advanced, complex tasks such as upgrades, platform automation scripting, and setup of new tools with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities:Assist product teams with problem resolution
Debug complex platform issues
Perform platform upgrades and patching
Platform automation
Evaluate new products
Associates degree
Minimum 2 years related work experience
In lieu of Associates degree(s) AND 2 year(s) related work experience listed above, High School/GED AND 3 year(s) related work experience
Previous Duke Energy experience
Linux, Windows, Active Directory, Infrastructure as Code, Networking, Data Center Infrastructure
Cloud platforms, Platform as a Service
Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure
BASH, Python, PowerShell, or other scripting language
Containers, Micro-services
Virtual Mobility Classification - Work will be performed from a remote location after the onboarding period. However, virtual employees should live within a reasonable commute to a Duke Energy facility
Server administration, scripting, working knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud and container technologies, micro-services, AWS or Azure, Â Infrastructure as Code
