Get to know the role
This role is required because we are expanding our regional infrastructure security capabilities. In return, you will work with a great team working on complex architectures and managing cloud security of one of the largest cloud deployments in the region. You will report to the Engineering Manager IIand be based onsite at Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
- Solve defined problems by building components/features with 3+ years of codebase expertise
- Ensure reliability via design reviews, monitoring, and OE standards
- Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code using proper data structures/algorithms
- Give and receive constructive code review feedback
- Proactively resolve issues and communicate updates
- Secure container environments and enable quick vulnerability remediation
- Implement vulnerability detection in build pipelines to block production risks
What Essential Skills You Will Need
- Proficient in deploying public cloud services in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Comfortable to code in at least one high-level programming language - Java, Python, or Golang
- Experience with Computer Science fundamentals in algorithms and data structures.
- Committed to maintaining a set of software engineering skills.
- Understanding clean architecture principles.
- Experience with web frameworks and understanding of RESTful APIs.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes for container orchestration and management
