Cloud Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our global Cloud Infrastructure team. As a Cloud Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and supporting cloud services and solutions to meet diverse business requirements. Working closely with trading, research, and other business teams, you will drive the adoption of cloud-based services, implementing a cloud-first approach to problem-solving. Cloud computing infrastructure is the backbone of our IT platform, spanning various areas such as research technology, trading tools, market execution, and data processing.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure on AWS.
- Develop automation scripts using tools like Terraform and CloudFormation to effectively manage and maintain cloud infrastructure.
- Monitor and optimize the performance and cost-effectiveness of our cloud infrastructure.
- Collaborate with development teams to facilitate the deployment and operation of applications on AWS.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance the reliability, scalability, and security of our cloud infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues pertaining to AWS infrastructure.
Requirements:
- Extensive hands-on experience with AWS, including proficiency in working with core services such as EC2, S3, and VPC.
- Strong scripting skills in languages like Python and Bash.
- Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible and Terraform.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker, ECS, and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in monitoring and performance tuning in a cloud environment.
- Familiarity with agile software development methodologies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
