Essential Job Duties

As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our cloud-based systems. The ideal candidate is passionate about cloud technologies, possesses strong problem-solving skills, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

This position requires in-depth knowledge and understanding of various areas of specialization, principles and practices within Cloud implementation. A Cloud Engineer addresses system incidents and issues using a wide variety of tools and techniques in order to determine root cause and make Cloud implementation more resilient and stable. A Cloud Engineer may be involved in a wide range of projects which require clarity of thought, building on experience, and working with a team. .

You will:

  • Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure solutions to support the company's applications and services.
  • Collaborate with software developers and administrators to ensure seamless integration of cloud services into existing infrastructure.
  • Implement and maintain cloud security measures, including access controls, encryption, and monitoring, to protect sensitive data and comply with industry regulations.
  • Optimize cloud infrastructure performance and cost-effectiveness through continuous monitoring, tuning, and capacity planning.
  • Automate repetitive tasks and streamline deployment processes using configuration management tools and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum uptime for critical services.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging cloud technologies and best practices, and evaluate their potential impact on the company's infrastructure strategy.

What You Need to Get the Job Done

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2-4 years of experience in linux administration, cloud infrastructure, devops, SRE or related disciplines.
  • Proven experience designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure solutions using AWS.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, and load balancing.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, Ruby, Bash, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of security best practices and experience implementing security controls in cloud environments.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect) are highly desirable.
