Cloud Engineer

2.1  Cloud infrastructure delivery

• Deploy, configure and maintain Azure infrastructure including virtual machines, virtual networks, network security groups, storage accounts, load balancers and backup services.
• Execute server, application and database migrations to Azure, covering discovery, workload sizing, cutover planning, execution and post-migration validation.
• Implement hybrid connectivity between client on-premises environments and Azure, including site-to-site VPN and ExpressRoute configurations.
• Configure and validate business continuity and disaster recovery solutions, including Azure Backup, Azure Site Recovery and third-party backup platforms.
• Apply security and identity baselines across client tenants, including Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, Privileged Identity Management and multi-factor authentication.

2.2  Managed services and technical support

• Serve as the assigned engineer for client incidents and service requests, meeting contracted response and resolution service level targets.
• Monitor client environments, triage alerts, and perform first-line and second-line diagnosis of infrastructure, network and identity issues.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, including patch management, backup verification, capacity review and system health checks.
• Diagnose incidents to root cause and produce written post-incident reports with corrective and preventive actions.
• Escalate to senior engineers or vendor support with a complete and accurate account of diagnostic steps already performed.

2.3  Client engagement

• Act as technical point of contact for an assigned portfolio of clients, including participation in periodic service review meetings.
• Contribute technical content to solution designs, scopes of work, proposals and tender responses.
• Present technical findings and recommendations to client stakeholders, including non-technical management, in clear business language.

3.1  Minimum requirements — all applicants

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline. Equivalent practical experience will be considered in place of formal qualifications.
• Demonstrated understanding of networking and systems fundamentals: TCP/IP, subnetting, DNS, DHCP, routing, firewalls, Windows Server and Active Directory.
• Evidence of practical, self-directed engagement with cloud platforms — a home laboratory, an Azure or AWS trial environment, personal projects, or certifications in progress.
• Structured troubleshooting discipline: the ability to isolate a fault methodically and to document what was tested and observed.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites within the Klang Valley as required.
• Willingness to participate in an after-hours on-call rotation and scheduled maintenance windows following the completion of training.

3.2  Experience requirements by grade

Senior Cloud Engineer (4 – 5 years): Minimum four years in cloud or infrastructure engineering, including demonstrable experience of at least one completed Azure migration and prior work in a managed service provider or multi-client environment.

3.3  Technical skills — advantageous

• Scripting and automation: PowerShell (preferred), Bash, Python.
• Infrastructure as code: Bicep, ARM templates or Terraform.
• Linux server administration, containers or Azure Kubernetes Service.
• Amazon Web Services: EC2, RDS, VPC and related services.
• Backup and RMM platforms: Datto, Kaseya, Veeam or Commvault.
• Monitoring and observability: Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Grafana or Prometheus.
• Workflow automation: n8n, Azure Logic Apps or Power Automate.

Certifications marked as required are fully sponsored by the company, including training materials and examination fees, with study time supported during working hours. Candidates who already hold these certifications may be placed at a higher grade.
