Job Description:
We are seeking a Principal Cloud Engineer with expertise in Microsoft Azure Government environments to support the migration of workloads into secure, scalable cloud environments. In this role, you will design, implement, and optimize cloud architectures that enable critical government missions while ensuring security, compliance, and scalability. The ideal candidate for this position will have strong knowledge of cloud networking, cloud security, and experience with containerization and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools.
Required Qualifications:
- Secret security clearance.
- A Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science or a related field and twelve (12) years of relevant experience is required. Also acceptable are a Doctoral degree (PHD) and seven (7) years, a Master of Science (M.S.) degree and ten (10) years, or no degree and sixteen (16) years of relevant experience.
- Active certification in at least one of the following:
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP+)
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional – Information Systems Security Architecture Professional (CISSP-ISSAP)
- The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF)
- Sherwood Applied Business Security Architecture (SABSA)
- Three (3) years of experience working within Microsoft Azure Government environments.
- Expertise in containerization technologies like Kubernetes and Docker. Expertise with IAC tools like Terraform and ARM templates. Familiarity with DevOps concepts and tools like GitLab, JIRA, and Jenkins.
- Experience designing flexible, scalable, and highly available cloud architectures and systems.
- Knowledge of cloud computing service models Software as a Service (SaaS), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), and Platform as a Service (PaaS).
- Knowledge of cloud computing deployment models in private, public, and hybrid environments.
Desired Qualifications:
- Familiarity with NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, security tools, and principles.
- Knowledge of AI/ML concepts and tools.
- Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI.
Skills Required
- Active Secret security clearance
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field with 12 years relevant experience (or equivalent degree/experience substitutions)
