What You'll do
Cloud Engineer with 5+ years of experience in designing, managing, and supporting secure and highly available cloud infrastructure environments across AWS and Microsoft Azure platforms. Skilled in administering Windows and Linux servers, troubleshooting infrastructure issues, and managing cloud networking to ensure optimal system performance in enterprise and managed services environments.
Experienced in cloud operations, infrastructure support, system monitoring, security implementation, backup management, and incident resolution across compute, storage, and network layers. Adept at collaborating with internal teams and clients to deliver reliable cloud solutions and maintain operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Cloud Infrastructure Management
- Deploy, configure, and manage cloud infrastructure in AWS and Microsoft Azure environments.
- Administer AWS services including EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, and Azure services such as Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, Azure Storage, NSGs, and Azure Monitor.
- Configure and support cloud networking components including VPCs, Subnets, Route Tables, NAT Gateways, VPNs, Security Groups, Network ACLs, Load Balancers, and DNS services.
- Manage and support hybrid cloud environments integrating on-premises systems with cloud platforms.
- Perform infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and maintenance following organizational standards and best practices.
System Administration & Troubleshooting
- Administer, monitor, and troubleshoot Windows and Linux servers in cloud and enterprise environments.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to server performance, networking, storage, patching, and system availability.
- Configure monitoring and alerting solutions to ensure proactive incident detection and performance optimization.
- Perform regular system maintenance, OS patching, upgrades, and health checks.
Security & Compliance
- Implement and manage IAM policies, access controls, and security configurations across AWS and Azure environments.
- Maintain compliance with organizational security policies and governance frameworks.
- Support vulnerability remediation, system hardening, and audit activities.
- Ensure backup and disaster recovery processes are properly configured and regularly validated.
Incident & Problem Management
- Act as a technical escalation point for complex infrastructure and server-related incidents.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain detailed documentation for incidents, changes, and operational procedures.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams and vendors to resolve infrastructure-related issues efficiently.
Collaboration & Support
- Work closely with clients and internal teams to support cloud operations and infrastructure requirements.
- Participate in infrastructure planning, optimization, and operational improvement initiatives.
- Provide technical support for production environments with a strong focus on availability and reliability.
Requirements
What You Bring
Experience:
5+ years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering or infrastructure operations within an MSP or enterprise environment.
Skills & Qualifications
Technical Expertise
- Strong knowledge of AWS services: EC2, IAM, VPC, S3, RDS, CloudWatch.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Networking, Azure Storage, Azure NSGs, and Azure Monitor.
- Strong understanding of cloud networking concepts including VPCs, VNets, VPNs, DNS, Routing, Load Balancers, Firewalls, Security Groups, NAT Gateways, and Network Security configurations.
- Strong administration and troubleshooting skills for Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Experience with infrastructure monitoring, backup management, patching, and incident handling processes.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with scripting tools such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Understanding of cloud security best practices and operational support processes.
- Experience working in enterprise or managed services environments.
Certifications (Preferred)
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
- ITIL Foundation Certification

- 5+ years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering, virtualization, or infrastructure operations
- Strong knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, RDS, CloudFormation, CloudWatch)
- Solid experience with VMware vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, and vMotion
- Experience with infrastructure monitoring, patching, and backup automation tools
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals (DNS, VPN, Load Balancing, Firewalls)
- Experience with Terraform, Git, Docker, or Kubernetes for automation and containerization
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and scripting (PowerShell, Bash, or Python)
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or Professional
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
- ITIL Foundation or equivalent MSP operational framework
