Job Title: Cloud DevOps Principal Technologist

The job
The DevOps Expert will lead the design and implementation of modern DevOps practices across AVEVA's engineering organization. This role focuses on building scalable CI/CD pipelines, automating software delivery processes, integrating development tools and platforms, and improving engineering productivity. You will work closely with Development, QA, and Operations teams to streamline workflows, strengthen quality controls, and enable reliable and efficient product delivery.
Key responsibilities
Design, implement, and continuously improve the organization's DevOps strategy, processes, and toolchain.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to increase automation, deployment reliability, and delivery efficiency.
Develop and troubleshoot complex pipeline workflows, quickly resolving build, test, and deployment issues.
Integrate DevOps platforms with internal and external systems through APIs, webhooks, and automation frameworks.
Drive automation across the entire software development lifecycle, including source control, build, testing, deployment, and release management.
Essential requirements
Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
Hands-on experience with at least one major DevOps platform such as Azure DevOps, GitLab, or similar solutions.
Strong expertise in CI/CD architecture, pipeline development, automation, and troubleshooting.
Experience integrating systems and development tools using APIs, webhooks, and automation technologies.
Solid understanding of version control systems, Git workflows, automated testing, and Linux environments.
Desired skills and competencies
Systems-thinking mindset with the ability to design DevOps solutions across development, testing, operations, and business needs.
