Role Overview

We are looking for a highly autonomous and proactive Cloud Automation Engineer to join our cloud squad. This role is ideal for someone who not only excels at implementing infrastructure-as-code but also takes initiative in shaping the automation roadmap, defining backlogs, and driving continuous improvement in cloud infrastructure management.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain infrastructure using Terraform, primarily for Azure environments.
- Automate configuration management and operational tasks using Ansible.
- Collaborate with architects and developers to define infrastructure requirements and translate them into scalable automation solutions.
- Take ownership of the automation backlog: identify opportunities, prioritize tasks, and deliver solutions independently.
- Ensure infrastructure is secure, compliant, and aligned with best practices.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Integrate automation solutions with other tools like Elastic, GitHub, and IT management systems.

Required Skills & Experience

- Proven experience with Terraform for provisioning Azure cloud resources (e.g., VMs, VNets, Storage, AKS, etc.).
- Strong hands-on experience with Ansible for configuration management and automation.
- Solid understanding of Azure cloud services and architecture.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD tools, and infrastructure version control.
- Ability to work independently, define tasks, and manage priorities.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and backlog management.
- Experience with tools like Elastic, GitHub, and IT management systems.

Nice to Have

- Experience with other IaC tools (e.g., Pulumi, Bicep, Env0, ControlMonkey).
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Exposure to multicloud environments or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is appreciated.
- Certifications in Azure or Terraform (e.g., AZ-104, Terraform Associate) is (very) appreciated.
