Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to lead cloud architecture, design, and migration initiatives across enterprise workloads. This role will be responsible for defining cloud architecture, guiding application and infrastructure migration programs, and partnering with application, security, and platform teams to deliver secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud solutions.
The Cloud Architect will play a key role in migration, application modernization, and large-scale cloud adoption programs, acting as a trusted technical advisor to engineering and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Architecture & Design
- Define end-to-end cloud architecture and solution designs aligned to enterprise standards and guidance
- Design landing zones, network topology, identity, security, and governance models
- Review and approve architecture designs to ensure scalability, resiliency, compliance, and performance
Cloud Migration & Modernization
- Lead and support application and infrastructure migrations to cloud
- Drive workload placement decisions
- Partner with application teams on modernization strategies, including containerization and PaaS adoption
- Support migration planning, dependency analysis, and cutover strategies
Engineering & Delivery Support
- Provide hands-on guidance to delivery teams during build and migration phases
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD, and automated deployments
- Ensure designs align with security, network, and compliance requirements
Stakeholder & Governance Engagement
- Act as architectural advisor to the stakeholder teams
- Participate in architecture reviews, governance forums, and design authorities
- Contribute to cloud standards, reference architectures, and best practices documentation
Required Qualifications
Experience
- 15+ years of overall IT experience, with 8+ years in cloud architecture
- Proven experience delivering cloud migration and modernization initiatives
- Strong hands-on experiene with Microsoft Azure architecture and services
Technical Skills
- Deep knowledge of:
- Azure core services (Compute, Network, Storage, Identity, Security)
- Cloud networking, identity, and security design
- Hybrid and multi-cloud architectures
- Well versed with AI Tools, GHCP
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM)
- Familiarity with DevOps tooling (GitHub, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines)
- Understanding of cost optimization, reliability, and operational excellence
Soft Skills
- Strong architecture communication and documentation skills
- Ability to influence without authority and work across multiple teams
- Comfortable engaging with senior engineering and leadership stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
- Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification
- Prior experience in enterprise-scale regulated environments
- Exposure to multi-cloud or hybrid cloud architectures
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or any other related discipline
Experience & Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or any other related discipline or equivalent related experience. 6+ years of directly-related or relevant experience, preferably in software designing and development or systems architecture.
