Our client has an immediate opening for a Cloud Architect responsible for assisting US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) in executing architecture and engineering support for USCIS’s enterprise infrastructure program. The candidate will architect and design cloud solutions that optimize performance, scalability, and security across multi-cloud environments.
Responsibilities
• Provides technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments. Establishes goals and plans that meet project objectives. Possesses domain and expert technical knowledge.
• May supervise others. Directs and controls activities for a client, having overall responsibility for financial management, methods, and staffing to ensure that technical requirements are met.
• Interactions involve client negotiations and interfacing with senior management. Decision-making and domain knowledge may have a critical impact on overall project implementation.
• Architecting Information Technology (IT) solutions using DevOps methodologies in multi-cloud environments, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Azure cloud environments.
Qualifications
• 10+ years relevant cloud architecture experience and a bachelor’s degree.
• Cloud architecture experience in AWS, Azure, GCP, with cloud migration, hybrid cloud strategies, and cloud-native services with security cost optimization.
• Cloud cost management experience with serverless computing DevOps tools.
• Experience as an enterprise solution architect.
• Expertise in remote and office-based user integration and hybrid cloud architecture, including cross-cloud connectivity.
• Experience in the evaluation and analysis of workloads that are running in public and private cloud environments.
• Working knowledge of cloud security engineering, cloud network engineering, agile methodology of managing IT Project Teams, and DevOps concepts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
• Ability to communicate clearly with a variety of stakeholders.
• Ability to effectively solve problems.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• A true team player who maintains a positive attitude in a dynamic environment.
• Experience in managing multiple projects with independent schedules and budgets simultaneously.
• Ability to work remotely.

Ability to pass a government background investigation, including financial, criminal, residential, educational, foreign affiliation, prohibited substance use, and employment verification; an active USCIS background investigation is preferred. Must be a U.S. citizen to be eligible for a suitability determination.
Must be fully bilingual (Spanish and English).
Must be a US resident, preferably located in Puerto Rico.
