Responsibilities
This position is essential to the smooth flow of patients through the clinic. The position includes handling telephones, greeting patients, and assisting in collection of payments for services, general office work. This person should be a flexible, cooperative and versatile member of the staff and a pleasant part of the entire patient experience at PCLI.
Job Duties
- Answer incoming phone calls.
- Greet patients and assist with completion of patient paperwork as necessary.
- Receive payments and answer billing questions, working with cash payment agreements.
- Edit patient information in practice management system as necessary.
- Faxing, copying and scanning paperwork.
- Maintain and reconcile petty cash fund.
- Keep office area clean and tidy.
- Miscellaneous duties make coffee, fill snacks, straighten waiting room.
Status
Part Time (up to 23 hours per week)
Office Hours
Monday - Thursday 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Friday 7:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
*Schedule may vary according to patient schedule and clinic needs
Skills Required:
- General office skills: telephone, filing, 10-key, good keyboarding, comfortable with Microsoft Office programs
- Good communication skills - written and spoken.
- Good organizational skills, detail oriented
- Multi-tasking ability
- Pleasant, cooperative disposition
- Good driving record with driving record check upon job offer
Physical Abilities:
- Acute hearing for telephones
- Good visual acuity for computer work
- Good mobility
- Able to lift 50 pounds
