Clinical Pharmacist Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Pharmacist Operations Manager to provide operational leadership for an acute care hospital pharmacy. This position is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, compliant, and high-quality medication-use processes while leading pharmacy operations, medication safety initiatives, sterile compounding compliance, staff development, workflow optimization, and continuous quality improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Lead daily inpatient pharmacy operations, staffing, and workflow.
Ensure compliance with USP 797, USP 800, and applicable regulatory and accreditation standards.
Oversee sterile and non-sterile compounding quality programs.
Lead medication safety, quality improvement, and patient-safety initiatives.
Supervise, mentor, coach, and develop pharmacy technicians and operational staff.
Manage medication distribution, inventory, and operational efficiency.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, hospital leadership, and other interdisciplinary teams.
Support accreditation readiness, regulatory compliance, and pharmacy inspections.
Monitor operational metrics, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement process enhancements.
Promote a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Minimum Qualifications
PharmD or BS in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
Completion of a PGY1 or PGY2 Health-System Pharmacy Administration Residency.
Current pharmacist license or eligibility for licensure in Utah.
Minimum of 3 years of recent acute care hospital pharmacy experience.
Demonstrated experience with USP 797, USP 800, medication safety, and pharmacy operations.
Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
