Company Overview

Mindpeak is building cutting-edge AI technology to transform cancer diagnostics for the better. Our AI-powered software is already in clinical use across more than 25 countries, helping pathologists assess tumour tissue faster, more accurately, and more consistently. Every year, tens of thousands of cancer patients already benefit from quicker and more accurate diagnoses enabled by our technology.

Our mission is to scale this impact worldwide and help make personalised, effective cancer treatment accessible to every patient no matter where they are. By combining state-of-the-art AI with real-world clinical impact, we’re working toward a future where every cancer patient gets the best possible diagnosis and, ultimately, the best possible care.

Position Summary

Every new laboratory that implements our AI for routine diagnostics is a project with a lot of moving parts. The software is connected to the laboratory's image management and information systems, our AI is validated on their cases, pathologists are trained, and the requirements of their market and accreditors are met. Each of these projects brings together laboratory directors, pathologists and IT teams on the customer side, scanner and software partners, and our product, ML, engineering and quality teams internally.

As Clinical Implementation Manager you lead those projects. You own the plan, direct the specialists who do the technical work, and carry the go-live date. Once a laboratory is live you stay with them as their main contact, owning support and our long-term success with the partner. This is not a sales role and you do not carry a sales target.

What you'll ownOnboarding projects
  • Build and own the project plan for each new laboratory, from kickoff to go-live, with dependencies and dates kept current.

  • Direct the work across our product, ML, engineering and quality teams and the customer's staff.

  • Accompany the validations customers run as part of onboarding. The laboratory's medical director designs the study; you make sure the technical setup is correctly installed and working, that our teams deliver what the validation depends on, and that the customer has everything they need to complete it.

  • Carry the committed go-live date, and raise risks early with options rather than after a slip.

Customer success after go-live
  • Act as the customer's main point of contact once live, monitoring usage and engagement and reaching out proactively.

  • Own incoming support requests: resolve what you can, coordinate product and engineering on the rest, and close the loop with the customer.

  • Bring what you learn from customers into product planning, and flag potential expansion opportunities to Sales where relevant.Bring what you learn from customers into product planning.

  • You do not carry a sales target. But flagging expansion opportunities to Sales is part of your responsibility.

How you'll start

You will take on real customer onboarding projects from the start and lead them yourself, with close support from the team and from your manager in the beginning. As you build familiarity with our products and our customers, you move into running them independently.

Your Profile
  • A degree in biology, molecular biology, biomedical sciences, medicine, or a related field.

  • 3+ years leading projects with external customers — clinical or diagnostic implementation, digital pathology, medical device or laboratory rollout, health IT deployment, or comparable delivery work.

  • Proven ability to build a realistic project plan and drive it to a date, updating it responsibly and transparently as things change.

  • Proven ability to direct people inside and outside the company.

  • Technically confident: able to discuss interfaces, integrations and data credibly with ML engineers and IT staff, instruct them clearly, and translate between them and the customer.

  • Able to hold a room with a laboratory director, a pathologist and an IT lead, and keep all three aligned.

  • Full professional proficiency in English. German is not required.

  • Based in Hamburg, or willing to relocate, and working on-site with the team.

  • Willing to travel to customer sites internationally — occasional trips, typically a few times a year, focus on US customers.

  • Comfortable with the occasional late-afternoon or early-evening call to overlap with customers in other time zones.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in pathology, diagnostics or laboratory environments, or a background in the natural sciences.

  • If you have not worked in pathology: evidence that you have become competent in an unfamiliar technical domain before.

  • Experience working within a quality management system, or delivering software into a regulated clinical setting.

  • Commercial instinct.

Why Mindpeak
  • Our vision is personalized, effective cancer treatment for every patient.

  • Build foundational AI systems that power both clinical cancer diagnostics and data-driven drug development, and actively shape the future of personalized medicine.

  • An open, creative environment with flat hierarchies and fast decisions.

  • A leadership team that invests in continuous development.

  • A centrally located Hamburg office with a spectacular view over the harbor.
