ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently looking for a Clinical Assistant MRI, Division 2 Nurse to join our Private Radiology nursing team and MRI department in the Geelong region. You will be responsible for:

•            Performing MRI Screening Checks for MRI safety highlighting any safety concerns or contraindication for MRI

•            IV Cannulation as required.

•            Admission and education of patients and their families.

•            Post procedure care, recovery and discharge

•            Liaising with orderly staff for transport of patients post examination/procedure to wards.

•            Including assisting to set up the room for various scans including lifting and changing equipment

ABOUT YOU

•            Registered Nurse, Division 2 with medication endorsement to administer oral and IM medication with current Registration with Nurses Board of Victoria,

•            To be able to work in a high-field magnetic environment.

•            Strong organisational, communication, interpersonal and time management skills.

•            IV Cannulation qualification or preparedness to attend a cannulation course

•            Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations

•            Ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.

•            COVID Vaccination essential as per Victorian Government requirements

•            Strong patient centred care approach with an ability to effectively build patient relationships
