GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: The Clinical Application Specialist is a member of United Digestive’s Operations Administration Team, responsible for providing high-level application support and service to providers and clinical staff members. This role focuses on the implementation, training, optimization, and maintenance of clinical software systems, including eClinicalWorks, ProVation, and NovoPath, to support efficient clinical and operational workflows.

- Maintains a comprehensive working knowledge of United Digestive's clinical applications, including EHR, Practice Management, Pathology, Endoscopy, and ancillary systems.
- Provides primary support, troubleshooting, maintenance, and front-end configuration for assigned clinical applications, ensuring optimal system performance and user satisfaction.
- Supports application implementations, upgrades, enhancements, testing, validation, and go-live activities to ensure successful deployment and adoption.
- Serves as lead for assigned workstreams, including new practice integrations, module deployments, system enhancements, and other clinical technology initiatives.
- Facilitates onsite workflow assessments and collaborates with operational and clinical teams to identify opportunities for process improvement, workflow optimization, and increased application utilization.
- Maintains and prioritizes application support requests, issues, and enhancement worklists; provides timely communication, follow-up, and resolution while serving as an escalation point for complex support issues.
- Develops and delivers training content, educational materials, and documentation to support end-user adoption, system consistency, and ongoing competency development.
- Provides responsive and professional customer support for clinical staff by addressing emails, voicemails, phone calls, and support requests in alignment with departmental service level agreements.
- Ensures compliance with organizational policies, HIPAA regulations, and applicable healthcare industry standards.
- Meets established quality, productivity, and service standards while performing additional duties and special projects as assigned.
EDUCATION, SKILLS, & EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or GED required; associate's or bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Information Technology, Business, or a related field preferred.
- A minimum of two (2) years of healthcare experience is preferred, including implementation, support, and optimization of eClinicalWorks (eCW) and the use of eCW reporting and analytics tools.
- Experience developing and delivering end-user training programs and supporting software adoption initiatives is preferred.
- Working knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements, including HIPAA, Meaningful Use, and quality reporting programs, is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required, with advanced Excel skills, including data analysis, reporting, pivot tables, and data validation.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
This role involves moderate onsite travel to practice locations and ambulatory surgery centers to support application implementation activities, workflow assessments, end-user training, go-live support, and related operational initiatives. Travel frequency is dependent on business requirements and may fluctuate. Overnight travel may be required on an as-needed basis.
