Brightline is a premier national youth mental health provider, delivering high quality virtual and in person care to families when and where they need it.

Behind every Brightline clinic in Wisconsin is a family trusting us to get their child's care right. You're the clinical leader who provides the strategic leadership, vision, and oversight that makes sure we do, not for one clinic, but for an entire market of clinicians and the families they serve.

Why This Role

This is a rare chance to shape pediatric behavioral health across the Wisconsin market, not just a single clinic. As Brightline grows in Wisconsin, you'll be the clinical backbone of that expansion, building the team, the standards, and the culture that lets quality scale as fast as the business does.

Every day, your decisions will directly shape the care thousands of kids and families receive, from the therapist you hire, to the protocol you enforce, to the clinic you help launch. You won't just manage what exists. You'll build what's next.

You'll operate at the senior table, in true partnership with your market’s GM, with real influence over how Brightline's care model evolves nationally. National clinical and operations leadership will be behind you every step, so you can spend your energy on what only you can do, leading clinicians and setting the bar for care.

Responsibilities

Clinical Oversight

  • Own the overall quality of clinical care across the market, auditing your direct reports' charts directly and overseeing how other managers evaluate their own teams.

  • Partner cross functionally with Brightline leaders on the metrics that define clinic health, clinical quality and outcomes, operational P&L and utilization/capacity, people retention and development, and growth.

  • Design and oversee peer consultation groups in partnership with the national clinical team, running weekly to biweekly sessions with an assigned group of clinicians.

  • Report out on clinical, and clinician metrics, and own root cause analysis and solution execution when something's off, partnering with the national team on model or tooling fixes.

People Leadership

  • Hire and develop the managers, therapists, and psychologists who will carry the market’s growth, with every hire meeting Brightline's clinical and cultural bar.

  • Train every new hire on Brightline's clinical protocols, operational policies, and procedures, and hold the whole market to that standard with fidelity.

  • Meet 1:1 with every direct report at least biweekly to review clinical care, documentation, caseload, productivity, engagement, and tool use, and hold managers to that same standard with their teams.

  • Supervise pre licensed therapists as needed, including reviewing and co-signing clinical documentation.

  • Give your clinical managers and supervisors the oversight they need to stay aligned and consistent across teams.

  • Resolve concerns raised by members, clinic staff, or other stakeholders quickly and thoroughly.

  • Hold your team compassionately accountable to performance expectations, using Brightline's tiered performance management practice, including PIPs and peer review, when needed.

  • Assess your team's ongoing development and training needs in partnership with national clinical and care operations.

Patient Care

  • Maintain a limited caseload, early on or as needed, not to exceed 60% of the time and shrinking as the market grows.

  • Provide and oversee care, including psychological testing, therapy, and diagnostic evaluations, for youth facing anxiety, OCD, behavioral and impulse concerns, depression, trauma, and more.

  • Deliver evidence based interventions, including CBT, ERP, PMT, DBT, HRT, and other empirically supported approaches.

  • Conduct diagnostic evaluations and psychological testing for common youth concerns.

  • Stay current on clinical research and hold yourself to the field's highest ethical standards.

Clinic Outreach, Marketing & Networking

  • Partner with your market GM and Brightline's national marketing and community engagement team to build relationships with hospitals, pediatrician groups, payors, and schools.

  • Lead community engagement efforts, such as speaking engagements at schools or medical offices, in collaboration with Brightline's corporate partners.

  • Oversee outreach efforts led by other members of your clinic staff.

Requirements:
  • A PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology, School Psychology, or a closely related field, required.

  • An active psychologist license, with particular expertise in child and adolescent behavioral health evaluation, testing, and intervention.

  • Experience leading clinical programs. You've served as an Executive Director, Market Clinic Director, Program Director, or in an equivalent role, building and leading programs of care and training teams of providers.

  • Experience providing clinical supervision to associate level or post doctoral clinicians.

  • Deep knowledge of the local, state, and federal regulations that govern this market.

  • Preferred experience building teams and systems from the ground up in a startup or high growth environment.

  • Strong analytical skills. You make data driven decisions and move fluently through dashboards and BI tools.

  • Ability to influence cross functionally and act as a real thought partner to peers and centralized support leaders.

  • Proven experience managing and developing a team, including hiring, coaching, and holding people accountable through formal performance processes when needed.

  • Ability to communicate with clarity and warmth, in writing and in person, in ways that influence and inspire.

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills without losing the details.

  • Experience working in electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard workplace communication/project management tools (e.g., Slack, Asana, Google Workspace), with the ability to learn new platforms as Brightline's tech stack evolves.

  • Based in WI, with the ability to travel across the market.
