Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Client Solutions Analyst to join our Investor Relations team in New York City. In this role, you will support the delivery of exceptional service to our global investor base, helping to ensure their needs for timely, high-quality reporting and data are met. You will also contribute to fundraising efforts, collaborating with colleagues across regions to support due diligence and investor communications, while developing your technical and client-facing skills within a fast-paced private equity environment.
Key Responsibilities
Investor Reporting and Analysis
Assist in preparing customized and standardized investor reports, including historical and projected performance, cash flow projections, portfolio diversification, and investment simulations.
Support responses to ad-hoc investor reporting requests, helping ensure internal reporting requirements are met promptly and accurately.
Addressing Investor Inquiries
Help provide clear, accurate answers to investor queries regarding data in reports, communications, and updates on fund activities.
Support the resolution of inquiries involving both quantitative and qualitative aspects of the firm’s operations.
Fundraising Support
Assist in preparing quantitative and financial data for prospective investors during due diligence, including historical and projected cash flows, performance indicators (IRR, Multiple, Yield, etc.), and asset characteristics.
Support the update and production of marketing materials, such as the Excel Due Diligence Pack, marketing presentations, and Private Placement Memoranda (PPM).
Assist with portfolio modelling and investment simulations for new funds.
Database Management and Reporting
Help maintain the internal database of fund activities, including historical and projected cash flows, fund performance, and diversification.
Support quarterly updates to the investor database, tracking its composition and changes for statistical and reporting purposes.
Assist in ensuring the accuracy of fund performance updates for external database providers (PREQIN, Mercer, Cambridge).
Support benchmarking of Ardian funds against the broader private equity market (PME+, Cambridge).
Qualifications
Up to 1 year of relevant experience, which may include internships, coursework, or full-time roles in investor relations or a related finance function (private equity exposure preferred).
Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier business school, with a focus in Finance.
Fluency in English is required (additional proficiency in French is a plus).
Skills & Competencies
Excel & PowerPoint Proficiency: Strong technical skills in Excel for financial modelling and data analysis, and PowerPoint for creating high-quality presentations.
Understanding of financial models: Familiarity with corporate and private equity financial models, with the ability to demonstrate aptitude through an interview and tailored Excel test.
Coding & Data Tools: Familiarity with Python, Power BI, SQL, or similar tools is a plus.
Attention to detail: Ability to ensure accuracy and precision in reporting and analysis.
Problem-Solving & Adaptability: Quick to learn and adapt, with the ability to handle complex tasks and shifting priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work seamlessly with teams across departments and interact effectively with both internal stakeholders and external clients.
