Client Portfolio Manager - Equities

Under the Conviction Equities boutique, the mtx and Impact & Thematic teams manage EM equity, impact, and thematic global equity portfolios, serving institutional investors globally. The mtx team is a key player in the EM equity space with over 12 years of experience and CHF 4.4 billion in assets under management, while the Impact & Thematic team brings 15+ years of expertise in impact investing, focusing on small and mid-caps exposed to key structural trends, managing CHF 2.8 billion. To support the growth of our client base and drive future product and client development across these investment capabilities, we are seeking to hire a CPM to join the team.
The CPM supports our Portfolio Managers by delivering investment messaging to clients and representing the investment teams in meetings and communications with prospects, clients and consultants. Taking a global mandate, the CPMs work across client segments and regions as they bring investment expertise and commercial drive to advanced prospect situations and service existing clients.

What would your role be? 

• Maintenance and further development of standard marketing and pitch documents in consultation with the investment team in accordance with compliance guidelines.
• Preparation of monthly and quarterly reports for investment funds and client mandates. Collaboration in the further development and automation of these reports.
• Respond to ad hoc questions from clients, prospects and consultants.
• In due course represent the Investment Team in prospect client meetings bringing expertise in communicating the investment approach, philosophy, and portfolio positioning
• Act as close partner to our client teams by taking a proactive commercial perspective in the advanced stages of the sales process and in client retention
• Have a keen eye for industry best practices and ensure best-in-class standards in preparation for and follow up after client engagements
• Originate and approve investment content and marketing messages in consultation with the investment team and other investment specialists within Vontobel
• Maintain in-depth investment knowledge (attend investment meetings, read research reports, utilize information services, etc.) to credibly represent our the Investment Teams

What are we looking for?

• Passionate about fundamental equity investing
• Profound technical knowledge of equity investing
• 5-10 years minimum experience on the investment side
• Excellent written and oral communication, including strong presentation abilities
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, entrepreneurial, and international team environment.
• Language: German or English native, fluent in German/English
• Strong skills in creating impactful presentations, with a focus on both compelling content and professional visual design to effectively communicate key messages
• Strong data aggregation and analysis skills; basic knowledge of programming languages (e.g. Python) or database automation is a plus
