Client Onboarding Specialist

The Client Onboarding Specialist is responsible for executing end-to-end onboarding processes for new client entities, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards. This role involves managing client data in Viewpoint, coordinating with internal stakeholders, and supporting the KYC Services team with documentation review and approval workflows.
Some of the things you will be doing:
- Initiate and manage onboarding cases from proposal stage through to client acceptance and service activation.
- Create and maintain prospective and active client records in Viewpoint and internal systems.
- Review client-submitted documentation to ensure alignment with proposed services and flag gaps to the KYC Specialist.
- Conduct a sense check of the KYCP application for consistency with client structure, services and local regulatory requirements.
- Update and monitor statuses in the Client Onboarding Workflow Tool (COWT) as onboarding progresses, escalating where necessary,
- Follow up with Relationship Managers (RMs) on outstanding items and record clearance in KYCP.
- Monitor and report on open conditions monthly.
- Determine approval route based on risk level.
- Prepare and submit KYCP and supporting documents to the Local Approval Committee (LAC); organize LAC meetings if needed.
- Prepare LAC submission documents ensuring completeness, accuracy, and adherence to local business unit processes.
- Coordinate approvals and communicate onboarding status updates to stakeholders.
- Notify relevant parties (e.g., RM, Finance) and update Viewpoint and Dynamics accordingly.
What technical skills, experience, and qualifications do you need:
- Strong understanding of KYC/AML regulations and onboarding processes.
- Experience with Viewpoint, COWT, KYCP, and Dynamics systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple onboarding workflows simultaneously.
- Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
