Distribution - IberiaPurposeDrive the successful strategy for both wholesale and institutional clients in Iberia with GAM’s strong, differentiated actively managed investment offering and it’s range of individual solutions for professional investors.
Main Duties & ResponsibilitiesDeveloping and driving acquisition of new clients and investments for GAM's relevant product range in the wholesale and institutional client segment, ideally in Iberia.
Use both a network of GAM’s and own existing contacts for a systematic and successful market approach.
Become fluent in GAM’s strategy range and be able to represent both traditional and alternative strategies to sophisticated institutional investors.
Develop and execute a sales plan for your region and directly contribute to growth targets.
Conduct all necessary acquisition and retention activities, including representation of GAM at fairs and events, client servicing and participation in important internal projects.
Preparation of acquisition and retention activities, periodic client reports, handling of client requests and other administrative tasks relating to the sales function represent an integral part of this job profile.
University degree or equivalent
5+ years’ business development experience in the asset management, banking or financial service sector
In-depth knowledge of capital markets and portfolio theory
Knowledge of the legal regulations and fundamentals for the asset management business
Strong presentation skills
Business fluent English
High degree of professional ethics, integrity and sound business judgement. Ability to foster effective and trusted relationships with all stakeholders.
Excellent negotiation and analytical skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
