Summary/Objective
Managing the day to day accounting operations for a portfolio of clients, delivering accurate financial reporting, ensuring compliance, and mentoring and review work of staff.
Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Manage full cycle accounting for a portfolio of clients
- Serve as primary point of contact for assigned clients
- Help in documenting processes and procedures and developing uniformity for new clients with team policies
- Review work from accountants on team and ensure meeting of close deadlines
- Teach and be a resource for team members
- Identify process improvements and implement best practices to streamline department processes
- Support clients looking for budgeting, forecasting and other analytical and advisory needs
- Prepare schedules, account analyses, and worksheets as requested
- Participate in business development to grow the department
- Process payroll and assist with 3rd party payroll journals
- Assist in annual 1099 preparation
- Other special projects/tasks as required

This job operates in a professional office environment.
Position Type
This is a full-time position. Hours should comply with business hours and schedule approved by management. This is a hybrid position with up to 3 days from home after initial training period.

QualificationsRequired Education and Experience
- 5+ years’ experience in an accountant role
- 2+ years’ experience at a public accounting firm
- QuickBooks knowledge and proficient experience required
- Experience supervising or managing a team
- QBO certification is a plus
- Experience with Bill, ADP Run, or LiveFlow is a plus
- Proven basic accounting skills and accuracy with numbers
- Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time while ensuring quality and timeliness
- Quickly adapts to new technology and stays current with technology changes
- Proficiency MS Suite skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent communication skills (spoken and written) and strong organizational skills are a must.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
