About the Team
The Client Access Team plays a vital role in ensuring quality customer service is provided in a professional and efficient manner. They facilitate the care of both internal and external AKBH consumers by providing administrative assistance to Clinical Teams, Medical Providers, Program, and Administrative Staff. AKBH Client Access Coordinators are known for their welcoming, positive demeanor and their ability to work effectively with diverse members of the community, including stakeholders and individuals with behavioral or physical limitations or disabilities.
What You’ll Do
- Handle incoming calls and route them to the appropriate department or staff member.
- Schedule appointments for new and existing clients across Clinical, Medical, and Primary Care services.
- Collect and verify contact, demographic, and insurance information from clients.
- Assist with day-to-day operations of AKBH clinics, including check-in/check-out processes.
- Communicate and coordinate client and clinic needs to appropriate staff members.Top of Form

- Location: Anchorage, Alaska
- Employment Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
- Salary Range: $21.00 to $26.00 per hour (Depending on Experience)

What We Need from You
- At least two years of relevant experience or a combination of relevant degree coursework/experience, preferably in the medical or behavioral health industry.
- Skills to work effectively with a large, diverse client and staff population.
- Reliability, flexibility, patience, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Regular attendance is required.

Our corporation was originally founded in 1974, and has evolved and grown to meet needs across Alaska, with clinics in Anchorage, Fairbanks, and Wasilla. Our mission is to strengthen Alaska communities and improve the lives of our clients by providing exceptional behavioral health care. We serve children and adults with a wide range of mental health concerns, from anxiety and depression to serious mental illness (SMI). Services include evaluation, psychiatric services/medication management, counseling, skill development, case management, and intensive supports for those who need them.
