  • Requires high school diploma or GED
  • Requires a valid driver's license.
Details
  • $17.00/hour
  • 40 hours per week
  • 9-month position from mid-August to mid-May. If interested, summer hours may be available through HIT, Inc.
  • Children attend Head Start on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Wednesdays are used for classroom prep and staff training.
  • May obtain CDL to drive small school bus. Head Start pays for CDL training.
Essential job duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Adhere to all principles of confidentiality.
  • Clean Head Start areas and bus.
  • Maintain playgrounds – i.e. snow and ice removal, mow, sweep sidewalks, pick up trash, etc.
  • Prepare and cleanup for meals and snacks.
  • Assist in the classroom.
  • Grocery shopping.
  • Report bus mileage.
  • Submit maintenance request for facility maintenance and bus upkeep.
  • Attend Safety and Sanitation training.
  • Successfully complete CPR and First Aid
  • Drive bus routes, when applicable.
