Responsibilities/Duties:
Work as a part of a team to assist in carrying out educational activities in the classroom setting. Partners with the lead Teacher and Associate Teacher as a 3rd person support in the classroom.

Luzerne County Head Start requires staff to possess current, valid Background Clearances (3) per state/federal regulations. Proof of education required to meet the qualifications for position.

Hours & Salary
Full Time (37.5 hrs/wk),10-month position working a school year August -June annually with an established summer break between school years.
Rate of Pay: $14.80/hr.
For those who possess Bilingual Abilities (Eng/Spanish) – 5% additional pay

Luzerne County Head Start, Inc. is an income-based early childhood education program dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for low-income children and families in Luzerne and Wyoming Counties. It provides comprehensive early childhood development services at no cost to eligible pregnant women and children from birth to age five, including disadvantaged infants and preschool children.
