Overview of Role
We are seeking a seasoned Citrix Engineer with 5+ years of hands-on experience to design, deploy, and manage robust Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) and application delivery solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring high availability, security, and performance across our hybrid enterprise environments. You will work closely with cross-functional IT, Cloud, and Security teams to optimize virtual workspace delivery and streamline user experience for internal and client operations.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD) environments across on-premises and cloud platforms.
• Manage and optimize Citrix components including Delivery Controllers, StoreFront, Citrix Gateway, PVS/MCS, and NetScaler ADC.
• Ensure seamless user experience through proactive performance monitoring, capacity planning, and system tuning.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues related to virtual sessions, profile management (FSLogix / Citrix UPM), and network connectivity.
• Perform routine maintenance, patching, upgrades, and security hardening of the Citrix environment.
• Collaborate with Cloud and Infrastructure teams to integrate Citrix solutions with public cloud platforms (GCP, Azure, or AWS).
• Implement automation scripts (PowerShell) to simplify repetitive administration tasks and provisioning workflows.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Participate in on-call support rotations, incident management, and root-cause analysis (RCA) activities.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of dedicated experience in Citrix engineering, administration, and VDI management within enterprise environments.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD), Citrix StoreFront, Citrix Gateway, and Citrix ADC (NetScaler).
• Deep understanding of Provisioning Services (PVS) and Machine Creation Services (MCS).
• Solid experience with profile management solutions, specifically FSLogix and Citrix User Profile Management (UPM).
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell for administrative tasks.
• Strong background in Active Directory, Group Policy Objects (GPO), DNS, DHCP, and Windows Server administration.
• Familiarity with public cloud platforms (GCP, Azure, or AWS) and hybrid-cloud VDI deployments is highly preferred.
• Relevant Citrix certifications (e.g., CCP-V, CCE-V) are strong pluses.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with a proven track record of managing production issues efficiently.
