Company Description
Our Accounting Team is part of the ABOUT YOU Finance division and is responsible for managing all business transactions in compliance with HGB and IFRS standards. They provide the data foundation for internal and external reporting requirements. Additionally, their responsibilities include financial accounting, such as accounts payable and receivable management, as well as merchandise accounting. As part of our team, you will play a crucial role in the digitalization and continuous improvement of our accounting processes.
As the Circle Lead SCAYLE Payments Core Accounting (m/f/d), you will oversee the accounting processes within SCAYLE Payments’ core business, ABOUT YOU's dedicated payment entity. Responsibilities:
- Ensuring the accurate posting of revenue, taxes, receivables, and liabilities
- Performing analytical reviews of variances and identifying underlying root causes
- Driving efficiency in automated accounting and monthly closing processes
- Ensuring timely and accurate reporting for consolidated reporting requirements
- Managing accurate and timely monthly closings
- Reviewing and approving manual journal entries
- Leading and mentoring a small team
- Supporting technical departments in implementing accounting logic
Requirements:
- Successfully completed business studies, ideally with a focus on accounting or finance
- Solid experience and understanding of finance and accounting operations, particularly in eCommerce
- Proficient knowledge of HGB and IFRS regulations
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing a small team
- Good communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders
- Positive attitude, a collaborative team player, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing environment
- Professional fluency in English is required; additional German skills are appreciated
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics/AX, SQL, and technical process understanding is a plus
