Supports investor solutions and business development by researching wealth management partners, qualifying prospects, preparing strategist briefs and executive presentations, and assisting with meeting preparation and follow-up. Performs market, peer, portfolio, performance, and competitive analyses to support investor communications, sales strategy, and collateral development. Documents relationship activity and identifies trends, gaps, and strategic opportunities.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Market research and target qualification: Research and screen prospective wealth management partners (RIAs, independent broker-dealers, and family offices) to build a qualified pipeline of business development targets. This includes evaluating firm size, AUM, investment focus, and strategic fit to help prioritize outreach efforts.
  • Strategist Briefs: Compile relevant research, news articles and private markets data in coordination with the Head of Research and Strategists to help educate the sales team.
  • Executive Presentation Development: Build presentation materials for senior leadership on business development strategy, progress against targets, identified gaps, and market insights. 
  • Meeting Preparation & Support: Support strategists ahead of external meetings by preparing briefing materials, compiling background research on prospects, and pulling relevant data.
  • Meeting Follow-Up & Documentation: Draft post-meeting recaps and summaries, and log relevant notes and next steps to track relationship progress and inform future strategy.
  • Analytical Support: Contribute ad hoc analysis on target segments, competitive positioning, or channel trends to support broader business development discussions.
  • Investor Relations Support: Perform various quantitative and qualitative analyses (performance and portfolio attribution, peer benchmarking, performance analytics) to support investor communications 
  • Peer analysis: Gather and synthesize market intelligence (peer/competitor portfolio analysis) to drive insights into investor collateral and communications

Requirements:

  • Preferred candidate will be a rising Senior (Class of 2028) or rising Junior (Class of 2029) expected to graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance
  • Strong attention to detail; careful review of facts and figures, quick to identify errors, ensure consistency of information
  • Superior Excel and PowerPoint skills, with demonstrated ability to express complex ideas in a clear and concise manner
  • Outstanding interpersonal and written communication skills, effective and strong active listening skills 
  • Proven track record of success collaborating in a fast-paced, results driven team environment
  • Innovative and creative thinker; ability to make connections among previously unrelated notions, ability to project how potential ideas may play out
