Chiratae Ventures is a 18-year Indian Venture Capital firm, is keen to have conversations with you for an exciting and challenging role as an Analyst in the Investment team in a fixed term employment basis for 3 years part of the Chiratae Analysts Program.
Chiratae Ventures has been at the forefront of Tech investing, being earliest investors in Flipkart, Firstcry, Globalbees, Myntra, Lenskart, PolicyBazaar, Pixis, Uniphore amongst others. On offer here is an exciting, well-rounded journey for the fixed duration touching all aspects of VC including sourcing, research, fund-raising, supporting portfolio management tasks and much more.
We are looking for dynamic & passionate individuals to join us as Analysts in the Investment Team to work closely with the partners/deal leads and other team members across varied aspects to build the firm, identify the right companies to back and support the existing portfolio companies. Also ideal for those looking to do their MBA program after 3 years of completing this Analysts Program.
Key roles and responsibilities of the Analyst:
1. Deal Flow Generation and Sourcing of exciting start-ups: Meet entrepreneurs, network with VC funds, micro-funds, and angels to generate consistent and quality deal flow .
2. Diligence: Assist Investment Professionals in analysing deals with secondary research through business diligence through mix of primary/secondary research.
3. Understand financial statements/ MIS etc. Ability to hold conversations with multiple stakeholders for diligence of startups across multiple sectors.
4. Building Investment thesis via a combination of bottoms up leg work as well as top down structuring
5. Contribute to specific firm level initiatives like Sonic, Spotlight and similar initiatives as needed.
Who fits the bill:
· Bachelor of Engineering from top-tier Engineering Colleges or Bachelor of Commerce from top-tier Institutes.
· Up to 2 years of experience in VC, start-ups, consulting or established tech companies
· First principles thinker
· Passionate about the venture capital and start-up ecosystem.
· Strong team player skill with hustling mindset.
· Strong analytical ability; understanding of financial statements and business metrics
· Excellent communication and good networking skills
· High standards of work ethic in terms of perseverance and commitment
