Job Description

Part-Time Respite Caregivers!! Must have experience working with Children with Mild to Moderate Developmental Disabilities. Respite caregiver for children (ages 3-21) with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the child's home or in their primary community. This allows parents/guardians to engage in other activities and provides them with a break. This job is a great opportunity for those pursuing careers in social work, counseling, special education or behavior analysis. DSPs, Paraprofessionals, and Behavioral Health providers are highly ENCOURAGED TO APPLY!!!

Qualifications

Role Responsibilities:

  • Punctually and consistently supervise the child and and meet with the family each week for the authorized number of hours.
  • Design and implement appropriate activities geared to engage children’s likes and interests.
  • Must be able to go into the home of the families served for the for a minimum of 10+ hours a week (3 days minimum) based on each referral.
  • Proof of current CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to get certified within 30 days of hire.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must possess a driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
  • Must consent to and pass a criminal background check.
  • Must comply with all HIPAA (confidentiality) laws as it relates to Protected Health Information.
  • Must be reliable, punctual, organized, and a self-starter.
  • Must be creative, enthusiastic, and a team player!
  • Bilingual a plus!
