The Chief Technology & Information Officer (CTIO) is a key member of the Executive team responsible for leading the company's technology vision, digital transformation initiatives, information systems, cybersecurity programs, and AI strategy. The CTIO will partner closely with Corporate, Commercial, Patient Services and Manufacturing & Operations business leaders to create operating leverage, improve scalability, and accelerate business growth through technology, in a regulated DME/healthcare environment.
The CTIO will be responsible for developing and executing a technology roadmap that supports the company’s strategic imperatives, strengthens data-driven decision-making, enhances cybersecurity and compliance, modernizes business systems, and positions the organization for future organic growth and acquisitions. In this role, there will be dual responsibility for driving our commercial product engineering roadmap and managing our internal corporate IT infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute a multi-year enterprise technology strategy aligned with HR HealthCare's strategic priorities.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and Executive Leadership Team on technology, AI, cybersecurity, digital transformation, and innovation.
- Participate in strategic planning, acquisition evaluations, integration activities, and growth initiatives.
- Establish technology governance, investment priorities, and performance metrics.
Digital Transformation & AI
- Lead enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives that improve productivity, scalability, and customer experience.
- Ensure enterprise systems integration of ERP and CRM tools, and specialized DME software.
- Drive adoption of AI tools and intelligent automation across business functions.
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, eliminate manual processes, and create operating leverage.
- Establish responsible AI governance and policies.
Information Technology Operations
- Oversee all IT infrastructure, networks, cloud platforms, business applications, communications systems, and end-user support.
- Ensure high availability, reliability, security, and performance of technology environments.
- Develop IT service standards, Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and support processes.
- Lead technology vendor selection, contract negotiations, and performance management.
Data, Analytics & Business Intelligence
- Build and execute an enterprise data strategy.
- Improve reporting, analytics, visualization, and business intelligence capabilities.
- Create governance structures that ensure data quality, accuracy, accessibility, and security.
- Enable leaders to make faster, more informed business decisions through actionable insights.
Cybersecurity/Risk Management/Security & Compliance Governance
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive cybersecurity program.
- Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare, privacy, regulatory, and security requirements.
- Lead risk assessments, incident response planning, disaster recovery, and business continuity efforts.
- Monitor emerging threats and implement proactive safeguards.
Team Leadership
- Recruit, develop, and mentor a high-performing technology organization.
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, service excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Build succession plans and leadership development strategies within the IT function.
- Promote strong cross-functional collaboration throughout the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
- 15+ years of progressive technology leadership experience.
- 7+ years in a senior technology executive role (CIO, CTO, VP IT, or equivalent).
- Demonstrated success leading enterprise technology transformation initiatives.
- Experience developing technology strategies aligned to business growth objectives.
- Experience leading cybersecurity, infrastructure, applications, and data functions.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing technology budgets and capital investments.
- Experience in healthcare, medical device, pharmaceutical, life science, manufacturing, or regulated industries.
- Experience supporting acquisition integration activities.
- Familiarity with ERP, CRM, LMS, HRIS, business intelligence, cloud technologies, and AI-driven solutions.
Skills Required
