This role will act as the connective tissue across the organization — aligning operations, finance, compliance, and growth. The Chief of Staff will translate company priorities into execution, drive accountability across teams, and ensure the business runs with financial discipline and operational clarity.

You will help scale internal systems, manage cross-functional initiatives, improve reporting frameworks, and support the CEO in decision-making, communication, and leadership operations. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-moving, founder-led environments and wants to make a measurable impact in a high-growth fintech company serving specialized industries.

Core Responsibilities
1. Strategic Planning & Execution
  • Translate company goals and OKRs into actionable plans with measurable outcomes.

  • Partner with leadership across Operations, Sales, Product, and Finance to drive strategic initiatives.

  • Maintain dashboards, metrics, and leadership rhythms (weekly leadership reviews, OKR tracking, quarterly offsites).

  • Support CEO and leaders with data analysis, scenario modeling, and strategic recommendations.

2. Operational Leadership
  • Act as a cross-functional integrator, ensuring alignment, prioritization, and smooth execution across teams.

  • Identify bottlenecks and improve workflows, processes, and internal systems.

  • Own leadership meetings, company communications, project reviews, and KPI scorecards.

  • Manage vendor relationships related to CRM, analytics, HR, and operations.

3. Finance & Business Operations

This is a unique CoS role that could include significant financial oversight in partnership with the CEO and CFO/Finance Lead. This role is intentionally flexible and can be filled by candidates from two backgrounds:Track A Strategic Finance CoS, Track B Strategy and Operations only. Role will be tailored to the candidate based on the track.

Financial Oversight
  • Support monthly reviews, forecasts, and revenue/cost tracking.

  • Monitor COGS, partner commissions, bank/vendor costs, and processing margins.

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Help maintain the company budget and validate department spend.

  • Support board and investor reporting with forecasts and financial insights.

  • Participate in annual planning and capital allocation.

Financial Systems & Processes

  • Manage the connection between Zoho CRM, QuickBooks, and BI dashboards.

  • Support financial controls: payables, partner residuals, reconciliations.

  • Identify automation opportunities to reduce manual reporting.

Special Projects

  • Assist with diligence, new products, pricing models, and partnership analysis.

  • Lead scenario modeling for revenue, margins, and product expansion.

4. People, Culture & Internal Communications
  • Support culture-building and onboarding for a growing remote team.

  • Strengthen communication flows and role clarity across the organization.

  • Help maintain internal policies, accountability systems, and engagement.

5. CEO Partnership
  • Serve as the CEO’s strategic extension — handling high-impact tasks and follow-ups.

  • Prepare materials for board, bank, partner, and investor meetings.

  • Act as a sounding board and trusted advisor on major strategic decisions.

Requirements
  • 7–12 years of experience in finance, strategy, operations, or executive support (Fintech, Payments, SaaS, or high-growth startup experience preferred).

  • Strong grasp of financial statements, unit economics, forecasting, and cash flow modeling.

  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional execution and strategic initiatives.

  • Exceptional organizational skills, communication skills, and attention to detail.

  • Strong project management abilities with the capacity to drive multiple priorities at once.

  • Experience using or managing systems such as CRM (Zoho preferred), QuickBooks, and BI tools.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset — adaptable, resourceful, and comfortable in fast-moving environments.

  • High emotional intelligence and ability to build trust across teams.

Benefits
  • Competitive salary based on experience

  • Performance bonus eligibility.

  • Health benefits for employees.

  • Fully remote work environment with flexible scheduling.
