We are looking for an operational leader to act as the Chief of Staff for our Delivery organization. As we transition to a new capability-led structure, we need more than just administrative support, we need a decision-maker. In this role, you will serve as the right hand to the Head of Strategy & Delivery, helping run the daily rhythm of the business while driving our most critical internal initiatives. You will partner closely with our Capability Leads (who manage the teams) and Business Operations (who manage the systems & processes) to ensure we are staffing the right people on the right work, maintaining accurate data, and actually adopting the standards we build. You will sit in our Cleveland, OH office on a hybrid schedule. The team is in office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. 

Senior Delivery Operations Manager

What experience should you have:

  • Experience: 7+ years in professional services, consulting, or agency operations with a deep understanding of service business metrics (margins, utilization, leverage).
  • Skillset: You are fluent in Salesforce/PSA tools and Excel, and possess a strong foundation in Change Management (e.g., ADKAR principles). You know how to build a communication plan, track adoption metrics, and coach teams through new operational behaviors. You can look at a resource forecast and immediately spot what's wrong.
  • Mindset: You have high EQ and low ego. You can influence senior leaders who don't report to you, and you aren't afraid to have difficult conversations about data accuracy or staffing conflicts.
  • Ambition: You view this role as a stepping stone to senior leadership, not an administrative dead-end.

What you’ll be doing in this role:

  • Staffing & Resource Management: You are the human in the loop for our staffing process as we build a smarter machine. While Business Ops provides the data, you help make the final call on assignments. You will work with capability leads to balance client demand with employee career growth, negotiating with Project Managers when resources are tight.
  • Operational Rhythm: You own the weekly cadence of the delivery business. This means running our forecast reviews, auditing utilization data, and ensuring our time-tracking hygiene is spotless so our Capability Leads don't have to chase timesheets.
  • Strategic Initiatives: We are rolling out the Further Standard: a consistent set of delivery templates and tools. You will act as the Change Manager and Program Lead for this rollout. This means going beyond just project tracking; you will design the adoption strategy, manage stakeholder resistance, and fix friction points to ensure these standards become our daily reality.
