We are seeking a highly capable, "Swiss Army Knife" Chief of Staff to serve as the strategic right hand to the Principal. This is not a static role; it is a dynamic leadership position requiring technical acumen, operational expertise, and emotional intelligence.
You will architect the day-to-day operations of the Family Office, oversee regulatory compliance and legal structuring, and manage complex projects. While the organization is evolving, a critical immediate priority for this role is to stabilize the talent function and lead the current search function. Additionally, your focus will remain on dynamic operations, administrative, and principal support.
Core Responsibilities1. Strategic Operations & Oversight
Operational Architecture: Coordinate all day-to-day operations of the family office, ensuring seamless execution of the Principal’s business and personal objectives.
Representation: Communicate effectively on behalf of the Principal with external stakeholders, partners, and counsel.
KPI Management: Develop and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the organization to ensure goals are met.
Special Projects: Undertake confidential initiatives and startup consulting projects as required by the Principal.
2. Immediate Talent Priority: Talent Search
Talent Management: You will work alongside the team in the ongoing hiring / recruitment function across
Search Execution: Flex your existing network, manage external recruiters, and conduct rigorous interviews to ensure only top-tier talent enters the ecosystem.
3. Staff, Vendor & Lifestyle Management
Staff Coordination: Supervise and coordinate current staff (ranging from investment team, AI researchers, housekeepers, etc.), ensuring they are fully engaged on the Principal’s priorities and expectations.
Vendor Procurement: Identify, negotiate with, and manage vendors and third-party service providers to ensure quality control and cost-effectiveness.
Calendar & Logistics: Work alongside the Principal’s Personal Assistants to architect a complex schedule across multiple time zones, ensuring business appointments and personal events are executed with precision.
4. Special Projects of Principal
Non-Profits and Sponsored Research: Lead inquiries and negotiations with donations and/or sponsored research opportunities.
Exploratory Research: Perform research on pre-due diligence potential projects (ie alternative investments, find subject matter experts for these projects and early signals of viability/feasibility).
