Role Overview

We’re looking for an exceptional Chief of Staff to work hand-in-hand with our CEO, Rishabh Jain, as his strategic partner. It’s a chance to own high-impact special projects that Rishabh currently does himself. You’ll drive initiatives that expand our AI-powered product suite, open new markets, and keep Fermat at the forefront of commerce innovation.

In this role, you’ll shape the future of an AI-native platform that’s already delivering impactful results—like 127% increases in ROAS and 56% lifts in conversions. Key Responsibilities

• AI-Driven Product Expansion: Lead special projects to enhance Fermat’s platform with next-generation AI features—think smarter personalization, predictive analytics, or automated content optimization—pushing the limits of what our technology can do for brands.

• Market Expansion: Spearhead initiatives to take Fermat into new verticals, geographies, or customer segments, identifying untapped opportunities where AI can solve big problems for DTC brands.

• Staying Ahead with AI: Keep Fermat on the cutting edge by exploring emerging AI trends and technologies, then turning those insights into actionable projects that solidify our leadership in commerce innovation.

• Strategic Ownership: Act as Rishabh’s proxy on priority initiatives, ensuring they align with Fermat’s mission to deliver unparalleled shopping experiences through AI.

• Cross-Functional Execution: Partner with product, engineering, and go-to-market teams to bring ambitious ideas to life, driving seamless collaboration and rapid delivery.

• Research & Insights: Dive into AI advancements, competitor moves, and market dynamics to fuel project strategies, providing Rishabh with a clear view of where Fermat can lead next.

• Results Focus: Manage timelines, resources, and outcomes for every project, ensuring they deliver measurable impact—like higher customer acquisition or stronger brand adoption.

What You’ll Bring

• Experience: 5+ years in a strategic, operational, or product-focused role, ideally at an AI-driven tech company, SaaS startup, or e-commerce innovator. Experience with C-suite leaders is a plus.

• AI Fluency: A solid grasp of how AI can impact application layer software and the operations of a business.

• E-Commerce Insight: Understanding of DTC brands, paid social ecosystems, and consumer behavior in digital commerce. 

• Project Leadership: A proven track record of taking bold ideas from vision to reality, with tangible results to show for it.

• Innovative Mindset: Curiosity about what’s next in AI and the ability to translate that into practical, game-changing initiatives.

• Adaptability: Comfort with ambiguity and a startup pace—ready to pivot, iterate, and execute in real time.

• Communication: Sharp, compelling, and collaborative, whether you’re pitching a new AI feature or aligning a team.
