Tarsus Pharmaceuticals is seeking a highly motivated Chief of Staff to work closely with the Chief Executive Officer/Chairman and Executive team. You will be responsible for executing deliverables aligned to the Company’s goals and strategic plan. This is a high-visibility strategic partner and facilitative role that requires a combination of focus and flexibility, as well as a willingness to play an active role as a member of the Executive Team and communicate with the Board of Directors. The role requires a highly resourceful individual with strong emotional intelligence, self-motivation, work ethic, and superb analytical and communication skills.
Let’s talk about some of the key responsibilities of the role:
- Be a thought partner and trusted advisor to the CEO on business, organizational, operational, and investor relations strategies and solutions; be able to present the CEO’s voice in internal and external communications
- Build and run cadence for executive leadership meetings, board meetings, senior leadership meetings, and executive leadership offsites, including structuring, facilitating, and helping to deliver company-wide communication. Prepare, prioritize, and manage annual meeting calendars, meeting agendas, presentation materials, meeting minutes and follow-up action items
- Facilitate and manage a broad range of cross-functional and strategic projects to help ensure attainment of strategic priorities consistent with corporate goals and strategic plan. Work with leadership team members individually and collectively on key business projects
- Ensure that key initiatives in support of Corporate goals and strategic plan are on track, intervening as appropriate to ensure goals can be measured, managed, and are met. Monitor and report progress to the CEO regularly, triaging and escalating issues as appropriate
- Engage and gain consensus with appropriate stakeholders, drive cross-functional effectiveness, and ensure appropriate prioritization and project management to support the business in meeting short- and long-term objectives
- Identify and prioritize key issues early and expedite resolution by integrating data, research, analysis, and evaluation to provide an informed perspective and propose solutions
- Organize and drive the rhythm of decision-making and outputs to feed into key meetings and initiatives
- Other duties, including special projects, as assigned
Factors for Success:
- Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree in business related field highly preferred. Certification in project management and/or Lean Six Sigma preferred
- 8-10 years industry experience in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or other healthcare related field
- Previous consulting, investment banking, or venture capital/private equity experience is a plus
- Team-oriented, highly motivated self-starter, execution-focused with strong work ethic, ability to thrive in a high growth, entrepreneurial environment
- The ability to anticipate and remediate issues that arise is essential
- Strong background in strategy execution and project management
- Strong analytical problem-solving and superb interpersonal skills; excellent judgment, discretion, ethics, and an appropriate understanding of compliance considerations relevant to the pharmaceutical industry
- Proven experience with working in high-growth, innovative, and collaborative organizations
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying scientific and business information in a clear and thorough manner at the executive and Board level
- Highly adaptable and responsive to technical and business opportunities and needs – comfortable delivering against challenging commitments
- Financial acumen is preferred

At Tarsus, we understand the importance of attracting and retaining top talent. The expected base pay range for this position is $247,500 - $346,500 plus bonus, stock equity, and comprehensive benefits. The base pay range reflects the target range for this position, but individual pay will be determined by additional factors such as job-related skills, experience and relevant education or training.
