About Pepr AI

We are building the AI Operator for growth to replace the traditional ad agency. We apply the quantitative rigor of high-frequency trading to digital ad spend, delivering 20–50% upside in spend efficiency for our customers.

We already manage spend for global category leaders like Cider and Cupshe, with a clear path to managing billions of dollars across Google, Meta and TikTok. We are backed by Quiet Capital and are building our team in San Francisco.

The Role

We are looking for our first business hire to work closely with the founders, customers and engineering team.

This is a hands-on role across customers, product, internal execution and go-to-market. You will take on work that today sits with the founders: running customer engagements, turning customer needs into product work, helping the team execute and supporting our sales process.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable with ambiguity but does not stay abstract for long. You should be able to understand a messy problem, decide what matters and then do the work required to get to a result.

You should also have a builder's instinct. Sometimes the right answer is simply to do the work. Other times, a better process, automation or lightweight tool can make the work much better. We want someone who can tell the difference.

What You'll Do
  • Drive Customer Engagements: Own the day-to-day work behind our customer relationships. Run recurring meetings, build proposals, prepare quantitative performance readouts and progress reports, and drive follow-ups to completion. Develop a strong understanding of each customer's growth business and become a trusted partner to their team.

  • Translate Customer Needs Into Product: Identify customer pain points and recurring opportunities, decide how we should address them, and work closely with engineers to turn them into clear requirements, lightweight PRDs, mocks and shipped improvements.

  • Help the Team Execute: Keep the operating cadence lightweight and effective. Track core company KPIs, support sprint planning and project tracking, and help resolve blockers. Where useful, improve the process or introduce automation or internal tools to keep work moving.

  • Support Go-To-Market: Help make founder-led sales more effective. Build sales collateral and prospect materials, support pipeline follow-through, and run targeted outbound or other GTM experiments where useful.

Who You Are

We expect strong candidates to have roughly 4–8 years of experience. There is no single required background. You may have trained in consulting and want to move from advising to operating, worked in product and want broader ownership, or already spent time wearing multiple hats at an early-stage company.

You are likely a strong fit if:

  • You are a strong operator who can think strategically. You can structure difficult problems, make decisions, keep several important threads moving at once and drive them to completion. You care about getting to the result, not just making the recommendation.

  • You communicate clearly. You can make sense of a messy problem, build a strong deck or written deliverable and communicate your thinking credibly to a senior customer.

  • You are analytical. You are comfortable working directly with data and drawing your own conclusions.

  • You can get technically deep enough to be useful. You do not need to be an engineer, but you should be able to understand performance marketing, attribution, data and how Pepr's product works well enough to work effectively with the engineers building it.

  • You build when it helps. You are comfortable using AI, automation or lightweight tooling to solve a problem, but you don't over-engineer work that can simply be done.

Bonus Points
  • Experience working with enterprise customers.

  • Experience at an early-stage startup.

  • Experience shipping products or working closely with engineering.

  • Comfort working directly with data; SQL is a plus.

  • Experience with performance marketing, adtech, attribution or Google / Meta / TikTok ads.

Why Pepr

Pepr already has a strong engineering team, a working product and live enterprise customers, but we are still early in building the company.

You will work directly with founders, engineers and customers and get a close view of how the product and business fit together. You will see customer problems firsthand, help decide what we should do about them and help make sure the work actually gets done.

As the company grows, there will be room to take on more responsibility and, over time, build or lead a larger part of the business.

For someone who eventually wants to found a company or become a senior operator at an early-stage startup, this is a chance to learn by doing with real responsibility from day one.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary: $125,000 – $175,000

  • Equity: Meaningful early-team equity

  • Food: Daily lunch and optional dinner provided in-office

  • Relocation: Support for candidates moving to the Bay Area

  • Benefits: Comprehensive health, dental, vision and unlimited PTO

Skills Required

  • Roughly 4–8 years of professional experience
  • Strong operational and strategic problem-solving skills
  • Ability to structure ambiguous problems, make decisions, and drive execution
  • Clear written and verbal communication, including customer-facing presentations and deliverables
  • Analytical ability and comfort working directly with data
  • Ability to understand performance marketing, attribution, data, and technical products sufficiently to work with engineers
  • Comfort using AI, automation, or lightweight tools to solve problems
  • Enterprise customer experience
  • Early-stage startup experience
  • Experience shipping products or working closely with engineering teams
  • SQL experience
  • Experience with performance marketing, adtech, attribution, or Google, Meta, or TikTok advertising
