How you will make an impact as the Chief of Staff to the VP:
- Provide tactical and administrative support in all facets of the organization, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
- Coordinate market research efforts to assess current industry trends and emerging opportunities that align with DEKA’s strategic goals.
- Support business development strategies, including market analysis, client engagement, and partnership opportunities, to contribute to DEKA’s growth.
- Calendar management and scheduling, ensuring effective time management and prioritization of key meetings and events.
- Manage a high volume of e-mail correspondence, telephone calls, and mailings.
- Coordinate meeting logistics, attendees, and set up any necessary provisions.
- Work closely with DEKA Project Managers to coordinate schedules, events, media, and other operational needs.
- Expense reporting and other administrative tasks as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Business, Communications, Political Science, or a related industry.
- 1-5 years’ experience as an Executive Assistant, Administrator, Coordinator, or in a similar role, with exposure to market research or business development functions.
- A passion for technology and engineering, with an interest in staying informed on the latest market trends and innovations.
- Proven experience in market research, gathering and analyzing data to drive decision-making and inform business strategies.
- Excellent computer skills with mastery of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Impeccable judgment and discretion, with a track record of handling confidential information with care.
- Strong interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating across teams and communicating effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
- High level of written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work in a complex environment and demonstrate problem-solving capabilities, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment, balancing multiple priorities and tasks.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Open to travel as needed.
- Must be able to work on-site at DEKA 5 days a week and be open to receiving calls/requests during off hours.
