Role:
Provides leadership for the organization, administration, and planning of all financial services of the College, Campus Operations and Information Technology.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Supervises all personnel in the finance, purchasing, campus operations, IT, Central Services and finance departments.

Provides leadership for College-wide financial planning and for aligning budgets with established institutional goals and strategic plans. Oversees and directs all budgeting, audit, accounting, tax-related, purchasing, real estate and insurance activities for the College, and related long-range forecasting. Responsible for (1) long-range financial planning and budget planning and development; (2) management of fiscal resources; (3) compliance with financial laws, regulations, GAAP, GASB, and AICPA guidelines; (4) cash and investment management; (5) student accounts.

Works with other colleges and college related areas for fund development.

Maintains procedures, systems and records to support all necessary accounting controls, reports and services, and properly manages the custody of funds, investments, and other assets of the College.

Monitors general economic, business, and financial conditions and their impact on the College’s policies and operations. Oversees the continuous improvement of accounting and financial processes and the development of the team with the goal to achieve best practices and optimal output.

Regularly updates the President and the Board of Trustees on the College’s financial position and outlook, and on other administrative matters.

Responsible for Middle States reporting on outcomes and institutional effectiveness with regards to all areas of supervisory responsibility.

Oversees the payroll function ensuring efficient systems, processes and controls.

Oversees the external audit, reviews and analyzes results and recommends for approval the audited financial statements. Prepare the financial section of the annual report.

Serves on President’s Executive Staff and Senior Staff.

Performs all other related duties as assigned.

Skills Required
- Experience in higher education
- Minimum of five years senior management experience in relevant administrative areas
- Master's degree in a finance-related field
- Proven leadership and strong organizational and fiscal management skills
- Demonstrated experience using information technology in business applications
- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and Financial Management Software
- Knowledge of GAAP, GASB, and AICPA guidelines and regulatory compliance
- Experience overseeing budgeting, audit, accounting, tax, purchasing, real estate and insurance activities
- Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with faculty, administrators, staff and external constituencies
- Valid driver's license for intercampus and off-campus travel
