About the Role
As an experienced Certified Accountant you lead our HGB financial reporting and ensure compliance with Local German GAAP. You will oversee tax and VAT filings, preparing or reviewing the internal controls, continuously improve our financial reporting processes. This role demands a strategic thinker who is detail-oriented, well-versed in German accounting standards, basic knowledge of US GAAP principle.
Your Responsibilities
• Drive local financial statements and tax filings with auditors and tax advisors• Tax assessment of bookings• Independent preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for local GAAP• Support Financial Controller to ensure operational excellence of accounting• Provide accurate financial reports to external and internal counterparts based on HGB, US-GAAP and tax regulations• Weekly Cashflow management and monthly forecasting• Analyze and plan Working Capital• Perform SOX-controls• Guide and collaborate with the Accounting Shared Service Center• Check the fixed assets bookings and Fixed Assets reporting
Who we are looking for
• A highly self-motivated, proactive and business oriented team player with analytical problem-solving capabilities• Ability to communicate and interact with local teams, shared services and divisional management• Strong analytical capabilities• Vast process knowledge (book to bill, purchase to pay, etc.) required
Your preferred qualifications
• Commercial education with additional Certified Management Accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter) or University Degree in Economics, Finance or equivalent• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Finance• Profound expertise within HGB• Great skills in MS Office, especially MS Excel• Fluent in German and English, both spoken and written
