You will join the R&D team of an established Swiss company in the field of optical and analytical instrumentation and support them in building and validating chemometric models on real measurement data.
- Analysis and evaluation of spectroscopic data (Mid-IR, NIR, Raman or comparable)
- Development, calibration and validation of chemometric models
- Statistical modelling and data preprocessing in Python and/or R
- Interpretation of results and derivation of recommendations for the R&D team
- Documentation of methods, models and findings
- Close collaboration with scientists and engineers on site
Requirements
- Master's studies or completed Master's chemical engineering, chemistry, interdisciplinary natural sciences, physics or a comparable field, with a clear focus on experimental data analysis
- Experience in chemometrics and multivariate data analysis (e.g. PCA, PLS)
- Good knowledge of Python and/or R for scientific data evaluation
- Familiarity with spectroscopic data and its preprocessing
- Structured, independent way of working with a strong analytical mindset
- Good command of English, German is an advantage

- Salary: 40+ CHF / hour (based on experience)

Skills Required
