JOB PURPOSE
The Chartering Executive supports the Chartering Manager in securing cargo and managing vessel charters to maximize profitability and operational efficiency. This role involves market analysis, negotiation, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful execution of chartering agreements.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Market Analysis and Business Development
• Monitor and analyze freight market trends, vessel availability, and cargo demand.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities to expand the company’s chartering portfolio.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, shipowners, and cargo clients.
Chartering Operations
• Assist in negotiating and finalizing charter party agreements, ensuring favorable terms for the company.
• Ensure all contractual obligations are met and documented accurately.
Risk Management and Compliance
• Evaluate risks associated with chartering deals and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, chartering procedures, and international regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of chartering agreements and related documentation.
Stakeholder Coordination
• Liaise with shipowners, brokers, cargo operators, and internal departments to ensure smooth execution of charters.
Reporting and Continuous Improvement
• Prepare regular reports on chartering activities, market conditions, and performance metrics.
• Provide insights and recommendations to improve chartering processes and profitability.

Technology Proficiency:
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for reporting and analysis.
QUALIFICATION
• Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in shipping, chartering, or freight operations.
• Familiarity with charter party agreements, freight markets, and industry practices.
• Knowledge of international shipping laws and regulations.
• Fluent or native proficiency in Mandarin and any dialect required.
Skills Required
