Payment Acceptance Strategy and Propositions sits within the Client Solutions COE in the Payment Acceptance (PA) team in EBB and provides a dedicated focus on delivering bespoke Client Solutions and Strategic Product Marketing Propositions, both for new and existing, to enable the delivery of strategic objectives around growth and retaining market share.
The Role.
We are looking for a Chapter lead Technology Propositions Marketing Manager to join our BB business within the Payment Acceptance stream and is responsible for working with Product Owners and Designers to bring product propositions to life. You will lead your team and manage and lead definition of the propositions value, conduct market and competitive analysis and work closely with the product teams to deliver products that align with our customer’s needs.
You will commence your analysis considering a proposition level and create proposition content developing messaging that positions the product strategically including case studies, white papers, flyers, sales toolkits.
You will also be accountable for the capability uplift across the team to drive continuous improvement in the way this team supports the Crew Leads and Product Owners bringing outside industry knowledge into the Group. It’s critical that you build relationships and work closely with Product owners, Product managers, Crew leads, Designers, Acquisition, Marketing, Corporate Affairs, Partnerships, Risk and Bankers
Your reporting lines and team.
You will lead and work in a small but dedicated team of Product and Proposition Marketing Managers that supports Strategy and Propositions across the Payment Acceptance ecosystem and will report into the Chapter Area Lead Strategy and Propositions.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Drive deep product marketing capability into Payment Acceptance through bringing industry knowledge and capability into the broader team
- Work closely with product development teams to deliver vertical propositions that align with market needs and will sell and support market share growth and drive demand and usage of the propositions & products
- Define the value propositions of these offerings conducting and leveraging market and competitive analysis and considering the service addressable market, unique selling propositions, and messaging for each proposition
- Understand and document the buyer’s journey and then create sales and marketing enablement tools like pitch decks, demo videos, white papers, blog posts, flyers, sales and implementation tool kits, website uplifts etc.
- Work in a quarterly rhythm with go to market and support the go to market plans to deliver, plan and iterate based on customer and business feedback, target acquisition figures, value proposition, leveraging channels and interventions that prove impact
- Have a firm view of the competitive landscape and look to narrate and differentiate our value proposition in market in a way that will drive acquisition.
- Protect the Bank’s reputation and represent the bank at internal and external forums.

We’re interested in hearing from people who have:
- Demonstrable experience in BTB Marketing and sales with a technical background and strong understanding of the tech industry
- GTM & Sales Mobilisation specifically in E-commerce, merchant product, with experience in the verticals of transit, education, retail, hospitality, health being a benefit
- A proven track record of designing and delivering successful Product propositions and campaigns
- Experienced people manager with sound leadership and coaching skills and an interest in deepening and teaching/uplifting capability of others
- Superior strategic thinking and critical analysis skillset – ability to conceptualise solution
- Sound stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication and design skills
- Results oriented, and motivated self-starter with a strong desire to learn and be successful
- Understanding of merchant’s industry dynamics, risks, trends and regulatory environment.
