As Chapter Lead (Executive Manager), you will lead the marketing strategy for IB&M and MCG segment, partnering closely with senior leaders, to shape growth priorities, customer engagement strategies and market positioning.

As a strategic growth leader, you will bring together customer insights, market intelligence, commercial acumen and marketing expertise to identify opportunities, influence business strategy and deliver integrated programs that strengthen customer relationships and accelerate business growth.

As part of the Business and IB&M Marketing Leadership Team, you will play a key leadership role in delivering high-impact marketing activity, uplifting marketing excellence and partnering closely with senior stakeholders to drive measurable business outcomes.

On any given day, you will:

  • Lead and inspire a high-performing team, acting as a senior leader within both the Business Marketing team and the broader Group Marketing function.
  • Partner with and advise senior business stakeholders to define, develop and execute integrated marketing and communications strategies aligned to strategic goals and customer value growth opportunities.  
  • Drive momentum through the funnel by leading demand-centric programs across content, communications, digital, social, events and campaign activity.
  • Lead opportunity identification through data, client analytics, business intelligence, customer research and external insights, and build the team’s capability to apply these inputs to planning and performance.
  • Continuously optimise marketing effectiveness and performance across channels, using data and insight to improve ROI, customer outcomes and overall impact.  
  • Work collaboratively across segment, product, brand, content, event and specialist teams to deliver integrated, end-to-end marketing programs.
  • Build trusted and influential relationships with complex senior stakeholder groups to deliver successful marketing programs and protect and enhance the reputation of the bank.
  • Champion a culture of measurement, deliberate AI adoption,  marketing excellence, innovation and continuous improvement across the team and broader function.
  • Adopt and role model a strong risk culture, ensuring controls are understood and effectively managed, compliance obligations are met, and activity is delivered within agreed budgets.
  • Lead with an agile mindset, supporting change and creating an environment of openness, trust and constructive challenge.

  • Significant experience in strategic B2B marketing, customer growth, marketing communications or commercial leadership within complex institutional, financial services or professional services environments. Extensive people leadership experience, with demonstrated success in building and leading high-performing teams and growing other leaders.
  • Demonstrated success developing and delivering integrated marketing strategies across the full funnel, including demand generation, customer engagement and communications.
  • Strong stakeholder management capability, with the ability to influence across a matrix organisation and partner effectively with senior executive stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging data, insight and analytics to identify opportunities, improve performance and deliver measurable business value.
  • A strong understanding of Australian and global business and economic dynamics, and how these influence customers, industries and growth opportunities.
  • The ability to think strategically, navigate complexity and execute high-quality outcomes under tight deadlines.
  • Experience across content, communications, digital, events and below-the-line activity in B2B markets.
  • Strong risk leadership capability, including experience in controls, compliance obligations, incident and issue management, and building risk-resilient cultures.
