Channel Marketing Specialist

For the Sales and Channel Marketing team of Sony Electronics in the Netherlands, located in Hoofddorp, we are looking for a Channel Marketing Specialist with hands-on experience in digital marketing & retail activation.
Job Purpose
In the job role of Channel Marketing Specialist you are responsible for maximizing sales and in-house share within the assigned accounts. You are the functional (digital) marketing expert and based on your skills and experiences you can further grow our performance.
You are taking care of both Sony’s online and in-store presence and make sure we serve the full consumer journey (from awareness to conversion) by initiating 360° marketing campaigns. You are driving both traffic and conversion by making sure all aspects are covered. From data-driven digital content execution to sales-driven performance marketing campaigns. Based on your hands-on experience you will deploy the best mix of marketing channels that will drive sales whilst keeping a close eye on account profitability. You are continuously exploring the latest developments within digital marketing that we can apply within our Channel Marketing activities. At the same time you will ensure that our field sales team is fully committed to strive for best-in-class in-store presentation and implementation of marketing actions.
The Benelux team consists of Channel Marketing Specialists, guided by our Channel Marketing Head. You are reporting to our sales manager and are collaborating closely with Account Management to make sure we connect the dots between marketing and sales.
Your Key Responsibilities
• Grow Sony’s online and in-store sales by optimizing our marketing activities
• Manage and develop Sony’s customer relationships
• Independently manage (digital) marketing channels on a daily basis
• Select the most effective mix of marketing channels to achieve the best ROI
• Deploy impactful product launches both from online and in-store perspective
• Create annual marketing budget plans for your assigned accounts
• You ensure our field sales team is focusing on the right objectives to maximize sales
• Create an omni-channel marketing strategy by connecting online and in-store activities
• Analyze campaign performances (ROAS / ROI) with accurate conversion attribution
• Maximizing Conversion Ratio Optimization (CRO) with best-in-class content execution
• Maintain and improve product pages and utilize your SEO/SEA experience
• Connect marketing and sales in close collaboration with Account Management
• Identify new trends and opportunities for business growth
What is Sony looking for?
• Bachelor or Master’s degree in economics, business (administration), marketing or sales related
• Commercially driven with good analytical and communication skills
• 2+ years hands-on experience in (digital) marketing channels
• Broad experience in deploying the marketing-mix (SEA, SEO, Social, Display, Video, E-mail)
• Eye-for-detail to make the difference in digital content execution
• Experience in SEO by improving product pages (texts, photos, videos, links).
• Eagerness to know the latest marketing developments and stay up to date with trainings
• Knowledge of Google / Adobe analytics and able to translate data into concrete actions
• Confident communicator capable to inspire on different levels in the organization, from Digital Content Specialists to Senior Management
• Proactive and with entrepreneurial mind set
• Excellent knowledge of English and Dutch spoken & written
• Pre: experience in working within omni-channel retailer environment
• Pre: experience in consumer electronics branch
